ALFREDO-SHOTZ and GA-88 — a theme that lives in the House 01 mood-rooms. ALFREDO-SHOTZ was once a man — dead years ago, consciousness transferred, current shell issued. Effectively a cyborg. The face the work finally shows you splits off the nose centreline, one red ocular burning through the seam. He is never masked. GA-88 never shows a face at all — variable shell, adaptive armor, highly advanced, lethal by design. There is no shot of him unmasked. The shell is sealed: it is not hiding a face, it is showing there isn’t one. That is the split the theme carries.
